I only learned about Las Posadas this year (from a clue on Jeopardy), so it was exciting to find this book in Ama's collection. I found the description of tortillas interesting (and somewhat inaccurate... they're not really like pancakes). It was a little shocking to think that tortillas would be a foreign food to most Americans in 1959.
The story is good. I like the little interlude in the middle where Ceci pretends to be a duck and all the pops of color in the illustrations, especially on the pinatas.
