Ama's Picture Books

My grandmother recently left me her entire collection of picture books and children's literature. The entire collection is comprised of over 300 books. I am attempting to read as many as possible in 2014.

The Ghost of Shanghai

Ghost of Shanghai - Claude Guillot

written by Claude Guillot, illustrated by Fabienne Burckel

I like that the Chinese words aren't translated in the story at all. (There's a glossary in the back for any non-Mandarin speakers.)

I thought the illustrations were very unusual. The book is very large and tall, but a lot of the illustrations are dominated by spaces (versus people). At the very least this book is very interesting to look at.
