My grandmother recently left me her entire collection of picture books and children's literature. The entire collection is comprised of over 300 books. I am attempting to read as many as possible in 2014.
The Lotus Seed

I've hit a streak of stories that I've either read before or seem very familiar. The Lotus Seed is another one of those stories. I think I read this as a kid, but I'm not sure. Either way, parts of the story are very familiar. Also, after reading this story I looked up the viability of lotus seeds, and apparently (according to Wikipedia), the third oldest viable seed was a lotus seed.
